Aluminium Sheet Metal Products
The EVH Metals Division is now manufacturing a range of Aluminium sheet metal products for the drilling industry, including 2 styles of mud hoppers and a variety of portable mud tanks.

Drillwise Drill
The drill is a standard specification 2100 Explorer drill mounted on a purpose built tray for the Morooka carrier. Fitted with a Perkins 1006-6T engine to drive both the 375 cfm compressor and the drill. A simple clutch allows the compressor to be disengaged when not in use. The tilting rod rack and simple rod clamps enable the drill string to be economically handled with a minimum of effort. Fitted with 3 levelling jacks and an E04 diamond pump fluid this machine is an ideal multipurpose machine for those hard logistical locations. EVH have been manufacturing the 2100 Explorer mounted on a Morooka tracked carrier. The Morooka is an ideal vehicle for those holes where the low ground pressure is required, but because of the 20 km/ hour road speed it makes movement between drill sites much faster than a conventional tracked vehicle. This configuration of the drill is also able to fit into a 20 ft GP shipping container without any modifications, enabling the machine to be transported and stored in a secure manner.


EVH Patented Muilti Clamp System
While the two piece hydraulic jaws are an economical solution for most situations, there have been occasions when the over-centre valve holding the jaws shut has leaked and allowed the drill string to drop. Using those type of clamps is often a fine line between enough force to hold the pipe and too much causing the pipe to distort. EVH have developed a new twist on an old favourite. Using the tried and true principal of the over centre cams, the new EVH Multi Clamp has a world wide patented system of jaws allowing a range of pipe sizes to be clamped without changing the jaw sets. Using the cam system, the drill string weight is supported with just enough force to hold the pipe without undue pressure crushing the rods. The patented cam and jaw system means the drill string must be supported before the jaws can be released, preventing any accidental release of the pipe The open face clamp body enables it to be swung to one side when not in use or when running casing. Depending on the jaw set sizes, drill strings of from most drilling methods (diamond coring, water well, geotechnical etc.). Using pipe sizes from BQ (56 mm) up to HQ (90 mm) can be accommodated.
